Nails knowledge
Hi there,
have you ever wondered what the signs on your nails mean? Let's see if I can answer some of your questions:
- Pale nails: this can be a sign of anemia, have this checked with your doctor and in the meantime increase your vitamin C, B12 and folic acid intake;
- Deep ridges across the nails: this is a sign of stress or chronic illness. Do something relaxing every day and increase your Zinc intake, which will boost your immune system;
- Pitting: this can be due to trauma to the nail itself or it may indicate psoriasis or eczema, have this checked with a dermatologist. Increase vitamin C intake, a powerful anti-oxydant;
- White marks: these are usually calcium deposits due to trauma to the nail;
- Yellow nails: this could be a fungal infection, try with garlic, a natural anti-fungal, and increase your vitamin C intake;
